Christina Borowiec

Planner and GIS Analyst

Christina Borowiec is a Planner and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at Sajecki Planning. She holds a Master of Urban Planning from Toronto Metropolitan University as well as a Bachelor of the Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies, with a Minor in GIS, from McMaster University. Christina is a LEED Green Associate, and a Candidate Member of both the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. Christina is an expert in visualizing land use, demographic, and transportation-related data and applying geospatial and statistical analyses (urban analytics) to identify trends, turn data into stories, and plan for the future.

In addition to her work at Sajecki Planning, Christina has served as a Researcher and GIS Analyst at McMaster University’s TransLab, an advanced transportation planning lab, and Toronto Metropolitan University’s TransForm, a transportation and land use planning research lab. Further, Christina has served as a Sessional Instructor in McMaster University’s School of Earth, Environment, and Society

Christina has supported projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. Her diverse project experience includes municipal-wide Official Plan and Zoning By-law reviews, Secondary Plans, growth management strategies, statistical and geospatial analyses, city-wide mapping exercises, network profile studies, planning justification reports, highest and best use studies, and development approvals.
